... that we offer free local delivery to your area.
Free local pickup is always available for all orders!
MilkRun is run by farmers, chefs, bakers, and makers. We love food. For us, a big part of loving food is knowing the farmers who grow what we eat. We want you to be able to know these people too. So we're building a company where the people who grow food and the people who eat food are as connected as possible.
MilkRun makes getting farm fresh food easy by delivering straight to your door. We offer chef-curated produce and meat boxes with add-ons such as milk, coffee and eggs. As a new customer, you’ll choose what you want and select the delivery cadence that works for you - whether weekly, biweekly or monthly. Don’t worry, you can always change what you get and how often you get it. Going out of town? No problem! Just skip a week! Email [email protected] with any questions -- we’re here for you!

Order Cadence refers to the frequency you wish to receive your order! You may choose an individual product every week, every two weeks, every three weeks, or every four weeks.
This means that you can mix and match your orders throughout the month - perhaps you wish to order a small fruit and vegetable box every week, but you only need the meat box to arrive every other week, and your coffee add-on to arrive once a month. This is easily arranged!
Please follow the instructions found here to successfully add your products in their correct cadences to your cart.
Yes! If you wish to receive products on different days of the week, such as a fruit and vegetable box on Tuesdays and a meat box every 3rd Thursday, you must place these orders separately. This means that we will also charge you for them separately. Starting in mid November 2020, you will be charged 2 days before your order is ready. You’ll still be charged separately for orders on different days, but it will be easier to track your charges.
Each pickup day has a window of time where orders can be placed and adjusted. Once an order window closes we immediately start planning and routing orders and we are unable to make changes. If you need to cancel or skip a delivery, please email us at [email protected] 48-72 hours before your pickup day to make sure we pull it from the line!
You’ll be able to place and adjust orders until the ordering window closes. To cancel or skip an order, please visit your account to manage orders and subscriptions. If you need to cancel after the order window closes, please reach out to [email protected] at least 48 hours before your delivery day.

Absolutely! To change the cadence you receive an item (for example you wish to receive eggs every other week instead of weekly), delete your subscription and start fresh! Make sure you choose the correct day of the week you wish to pick up your items and the specific cadence you wish each product to have! Please see “How Does Ordering Work”for more information on how to do this successfully.
You can contact us at [email protected] and we’ll reply with a breakdown of your order dates and status!
Substitutions occur for a variety of reasons. Sometimes the product arrives at our warehouse and does not meet our quality standards. Sometimes a portion of the inventory wilts or is otherwise not up to our standards. In all cases, we strive to only send out the items we can stand behind with pride - so in these situations we substitute an item that is the closest comparable to your missing item.
We understand that this can sometimes be frustrating or inconvenient, but at this stage of our growth we are unable to accommodate individual requests for no substitute items.
If you’re ever unhappy with the quality of your order or an item in your order, please reach out to us at [email protected] with a photo and description of the issue and we will assist you!
Your first order placed will charge immediately - even if you place an order for a date a week in the future, that order will be charged at that moment. If you are setting up a recurring subscription with us, your future charges after that initial order will always occur 48 hours in advance of your chosen delivery day of the week. For example, if you choose Wednesday as your pickup day, you will be charged for that order every week on Mondays. Any adjustments to your order must happen before Monday at noon!
If you’re ever unhappy with the quality of your order or an item in your order, please reach out to us at [email protected] with a photo and description of the issue and we will assist you!
MilkRun goods and produce travel an average of 35 miles from the farm to your porch. Compare that to the national average of 1,500 miles! While we do pull things in from farther away from time to time, we try to keep as close to your town as possible — it’s part of our dedication to supporting our local communities of farmers and producers.
We’re currently working on building our relationships with local farmers and suppliers in Austin. Check back in regularly for yummy updates and additions!
While we have a large selection of organic groceries, not everything is sourced from Certified Organic Farms. And we still feel great about it! Please reach out and ask us about specifics. Whether they are in transition, self-regulated, or so small that they haven't been able to get certified yet, we stand by our farmers and believe in transparency. We want to provide as much information and connection to local producers as we can so you feel clear in making the absolute best choices available to you!
We’re working on our Farm page that will showcase our farmers and sellers and their stories! Check back regularly for updates!
Great, we love nothing more than getting a chance to talk about why we felt inspired enough to link up with the farmers we work with, and brag about all this amazing food we have access to!
You can contact us at [email protected] and we’ll get you an answer, even if we have to drive out to the farm and ask the cows and pigs directly.
You can also find information about our sellers and farmers right here!
At this time we do not offer customization of our curated boxes. We know some of you have particular needs and we are working hard to introduce products and boxes that appeal to everyone in the MilkRun family!

Fruits and vegetables can still bruise after they have been harvested because they are still alive! So when putting produce into a vegetable drawer in your fridge, do it gently, you may just get another week out of them!
Sturdy vegetables (green beans, broccoli, cabbage): Refrigerate away from airflow Delicate produce (leafy greens, herbs, or mushrooms): Store them under refrigeration in a container that limits the amount of free flowing air, but prevents crowding or issues with condensation; try a large Tupperware with a lid or a plastic bag ballooned up with a little bit of air in it!
Aromatic, soft-fleshed fruits (tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, peaches, apricots): Only refrigerate them if you absolutely must! Once harvested, the fruit will respond differently to abrupt temperature change than it would if it were still connected to the plant. They will taste and feel fresher, juicier, and brighter if they are allowed to be held at room temperature.
Pro tip: most fruits store much better while resting on their "shoulders" i.e. plums, tomatoes, and peaches will all last longer if they sit with the stem-side down!
