COVID-19 Health & Safety Procedures

Personnel Practices

  • Any employee experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19 or who is exposed to COVID-19 is excused from work, with pay
  • Upon arriving to work, all employees wash their hands and get their temperature taken (if their temperature is higher than normal, they are excused from work, with pay)
  • All employees are outfitted with masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer for use at home and at work

Depot Practices

  • No visitors are permitted at our depot
  • Depot door handles, carts, and work surfaces are fully sanitized three times each day
  • Depot employees wash their hands and change their gloves once per hour
  • All work stations in our depot are at least six feet apart from one another, as the CDC recommends

Delivery Practices

  • Drivers will no longer be picking up any recyclables. We’ll resume pick up when it is safe to do so.
  • Drivers are outfitted with gloves and sanitizing spray to use throughout their routes
  • Drivers practice no contact delivery, notifying customers electronically that their order has been delivered
  • Drivers sanitize delivery vehicles at the beginning and end of each route
